"The City of Tecumseh is 131 years old. It has seen many changes over the years. One thing that has remained the same is citizens who deeply care about our community and our kids. One thing we have started recently is to promote "Our Local Power' giving back to the community. Our Local Power has been able to fund Mingle on Main Street along with sponsors for the past couple of years and also gives to the Frontier Days celebration. Our Local Power funds all the flowers in downtown Tecumseh for everyone to enjoy."
Why is your company deserving of this award?:
"The City of Tecumseh/Tecumseh Utility Authority has been improving the quality of life for the citizens of Tecumseh and the surrounding areas who shop here. We have slowly been able to put playground equipment in all city owned parks. We have been resurfacing streets without getting any loans. We have been repairing the infrastructure that has been long over due. We have been striving for a clean, safe town to raise families here and take pride in our city.."
