Tell the membership some about the company's background and other fun information.
"spOKeLAHOMA really began in our garage, with Craig building custom wheels for friends, then friends of friends, then eventually creating and shipping around the U.S. and Canada. Fran finally tired of walking out in her bathrobe to find random strangers in the driveway waiting to pick up wheels and insisted it was time for a new location. We purchased a building and opened spOKeLAHOMA in downtown Shawnee in the fall of 2017. We were fortunate to continue to expand our products and services until we simply outgrew our space. We'd always looked fondly toward a future place in Tecumseh, and in the fall of 2021 we purchased the building at 111 North Broadway and began the renovation. Tecumseh was always home. It's good to be home."
Please tell the membership why you chose to renovate.
"We first opened spOKeLAHOMA in downtown Shawnee in the fall of 2017. We'd always looked fondly toward a future place in Tecumseh, and in the fall of 2021 we purchased the building for our current location. The building was simply a shell--four concrete block walls and a dirt floor--but over the next few months we transformed it into the bright and spacious place we now enjoy. We have tried to create a lifestyle destination shop for those who love cycling and the outdoors."
