Tecumseh Public Schools

Please tell us a little bit about the organization you work for.

"Tecumseh Public Schools provides educational services to students from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th Grade. Our teachers and staff members strive to help all students learn and succeed. We believe that education is an integral part of our community's success in the present and in the future. We value partnerships with businesses, organizations, and families who share this belief."

What do you love most about Tecumseh?

"What I love most about Tecumseh is the people. We are a family!"

What is your greatest hope for the Tecumseh, OK community?

"I hope for unity among the members of our community. I believe that, when we work together, we can solve any problem. Our future as a community depends on how well we will anticipate potential issues and develop plans to solve them before they negatively impact us. Working together, we can achieve anything we set our hearts and minds to accomplish."

Please tell the membership a bit about you. Share your background, interests, hobbies, and other fun information.

"I was born and raised in Tecumseh. I attended Tecumseh Public Schools from Kindergarten through 12th Grade graduating in 1995. I attended The University of Oklahoma and earned a bachelor's degree and master's degree in education. My professional goal was to be an educator and teach science at Tecumseh High School. I was fortunate enough to have lived in Tecumseh nearly my entire life. I attended school and graduated from here in 1995. I began teaching in our schools in 2000. I am married to a wonderful woman who is also from our town - Kacy Kinsey. We have a son who attends Tecumseh Middle School. I attend church at Highland Church of Christ and enjoy teaching and serving there. I enjoy watching baseball, and I also like to read and learn. When I retire one day, I want to be a farmer."

Why do you believe you have been chosen for this award?

"I have done nothing to earn this award. There are many others who have done far more to earn an award such as this. My job is to provide leadership and stability in a school system that impacts many families who live in and around our community. I give my all each day to provide that leadership, and I try to make each decision based on what is best for the children of our school district."
