Why you are interested in serving on the Board of Directors?
"I believe we are all born to serve and help one another, that is our main purpose in life. As John Wesley stated, "Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.
We have a responsibility to our community and ourselves to be the best. The older I become the more I realize maturity holds a special place it provides experience. When you can blend the old with the new equals a well defined balance. This combination is an asset to any board.."
Now tell the membership a bit about you. Share your background, interests, hobbies, and other fun information.
"We are privileged to live in a place called Tecumseh, Oklahoma! I was born and raised in Oklahoma spending the last 30 years in Tecumseh. I love this city and the people who have given me so many opportunities of growth and development as a person. I am a past recipient of the Oklahoma Young Career Woman Award and former president of the Tecumseh Chamber of Commerce. Also past state BPW Legislative Chairman in Washington, D.C. As my career path developed I was past Regional Advertising Director for McDonalds in Dallas, Texas, and I have served as the Director of Music for Broadway United Methodist Church the past 30 yrs.
Outside hobbies,and interest, music has always been my first love and passion, having been accepted to Juilliard School of Music. Love all facets of food and cooking and equally important,are my 4 fur babies and 3 dogs. Our nation is so divided presently, but I enjoy politics and being involved locally with many forums."
Talent and Experience:
"Ronnye's leadership abilities are strong and positive. Being goal oriented helps in the establishment of well organized programs for our businnesses, community development, plus attracting new business to our community. My advertising and marketing experience would be an asset to this board. It would be my intention and purpose to help structure and define the quality of life in Tecumseh while building from our foundation."
Tell us a little bit about your organization.
Ronnye is an Author and currently serves as Chair of the Legislative Committee. She always helps the chamber with their dessert auction and loves volunteering for the chamber.
